By Phil Robertson

I never set out to become a famous duck commander. In fact, I never even considered the possibility. But when my oldest son, Alan, asked me to help him build a duck call, it sparked something in me that would change the course of my life forever.

I started out making duck calls in my backyard, using nothing but scrap wood and a few basic tools. But I had a passion for the sport of duck hunting, and I was determined to create a call that would give me the edge in the field.

After countless hours of trial and error, I finally developed a call that I was happy with. It was a simple call, but it had a unique sound that ducks couldn't resist. I started using it on my own hunting trips, and I quickly noticed a difference in my success rate.

Soon, other hunters started asking me to make calls for them. And before I knew it, I was making calls full-time out of my backyard workshop. In 1972, I officially incorporated my business as Duck Commander.

Over the years, Duck Commander has grown from a small backyard operation into a multi-million dollar enterprise. We now manufacture a wide range of hunting products, including duck calls, decoys, blinds, and apparel. And we've been featured on countless television shows and magazines.

But my success as a businessman is only one part of my story. I'm also a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. And my faith in God is the foundation of everything I do.

I was raised in a Christian home, and I've always believed in God. But it wasn't until I was in my 20s that I really came to know Him personally. And that relationship has made all the difference in my life.

I believe that God has given me a gift for making duck calls. And I believe that He has also called me to use my platform to share my faith with others.

I'm not perfect. I've made mistakes in my life. But I'm thankful for God's forgiveness and grace. And I'm committed to living my life in a way that honors Him.

My journey has been full of challenges, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have made a difference in the world, and I'm excited to see what the future holds.

I hope my story will inspire you to embrace your own dreams and to live your life with passion and purpose.

My Legacy

I hope that my legacy will be one of innovation, entrepreneurship, and faith.

I want to be remembered as someone who made a difference in the world of hunting. I want to be remembered as someone who built a successful business from scratch. And I want to be remembered as someone who lived his life for God.

I believe that my greatest legacy will be my family. I'm blessed to have a wife who has been by my side for over 50 years. I'm blessed to have children and grandchildren who love and support me. And I'm blessed to have a faith that gives me hope and purpose.

I'm not sure what the future holds, but I'm confident that God has a plan for my life. And I'm excited to see what He has in store for me.

Thank you for reading my story. I hope it has encouraged you to live your life with passion and purpose.

God bless you,

Phil Robertson
